A promising day for the St. John Bosco High wrestling team ended a little early Saturday at the CIF Southern Section Division III Dual Meet Championships at South Hills High. The Braves, seeded No. 1 in the division, were edged by the tournament hosts 35-34 in the semifinal round. SJB actually won more matches in the semis but South Hills had more pins and earned just enough points to send the Trinity League champions home. Individual wrestlers from the Sunset, Suburban and San Gabriel Valley leagues will compete in the Coastal Division at Marina High. 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong.
